Celebrate Earth Day with VDM at our Alternative Energy Day co-sponsored by JMU's Virginia Center for Wind Energy. It'll be a fun-filled day for the whole family to enjoy. Check out hands-on demos from local environmental organizations and learn more about the newest breakthroughs in solar and wind energy technology! Come for a reading of Wind the World Over by author Irene Boland at 10:30am and then travel around the world to learn about wind energy. We'll have stations on model wind turbines, making pinwheels, a wind riddle, making wind pennants, and understanding scale by measung tall objects.
